Last week, I mentioned in my essay on pilgrimage that I have a new book coming out. Here’s the full announcement and invitation to preorder now. This is a limited edition print run of 100 copies. So don’t delay.
My latest book, Through New Eyes: A Photographic Exploration of the Holy Land, will be released on Tuesday, May 13. It’s available now for preorder. This 32-page Zine (as in Magazine) tells the story of a contemporary Holy Land struggling to embrace the spirit of three major religions occupying a country the size of New Jersey.
I’ve captured twelve years of pilgrimage through the Holy Land in this collection, offering viewers an intimate glimpse into landscapes imbued with spiritual significance and political complexity.
Seven other travelers share their reflections—each representing a transformative journey that challenges preconceptions and reveals nuanced realities. Their honest accounts trace the evolution of understanding as ancient stones, olive groves, checkpoints, and human encounters reshape their perspectives on occupation, colonialism, and coexistence in this contested region.
34 carefully curated photographs span visits from 2012 to 2024, documenting timeless vistas and shifting realities. The juxtaposition of sacred spaces with contemporary tensions invites viewers to witness the transcendent beauty and the challenging truths in this land revered by multiple faiths.
More than just a coffee table Zine, this softcover collection prompts deeper inquiries about the narratives we inherit and those we uncover when we dare to look with open eyes. For anyone seeking to understand the complexities of Israel and Palestine beyond headlines, these images and reflections provide a compassionate starting point—honoring diverse perspectives while acknowledging uncomfortable realities.
This collection shows pilgrims on their journey from expectation to encounter, navigating the gap between cherished beliefs and witnessed truths in a land where the past and present continually collide.

Proceeds from the sale of this collection will benefit the Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem. This hospital serves as the primary medical treatment center for cancer victims in the West Bank. It has also provided medical care for victims of the war in Gaza.
