What a gift this rich and interesting post is! I am in my second year of the SD program at Haden and I'm deep in reading both Jung and Thurman right now. Thank you for this beautiful and intelligent analysis!

Elizabeth. Thanks for your comment. I completed the SD program last year. Loved it. Jim

Comparison and contrast always makes for a good read and sets the mind contemplating on one's own stand and stance. There is a graphic in the piece which resonates with me. What is its origin and relevance to the "Mystical Path"?

Thank you.

Dave and Pam. The symbol you are referencing is a mandala which is an ancient symbol that one can see in both eastern and western religions. The classic round window in a cathedral is another example. If you do a search for mandalas and for Carl Jung and mandalas you’ll learn more. But thanks you’ve given me an idea for a future Notebooks

Thank you. I made a "wrong turn" last fall and I hope you understand how much this is appreciated.

Yes, especially since it was the first time there for both of us. Thank you for letting me interrupt.

I'm getting closer to self-publishing and would be grateful for a recommendation. I can't figure out from your book (other than Back Porch Creative) how you got it done. If you're comfortable referring me to someone, that would be marvelous. Pastor Eva Steege's niece is an editor for Columbia Univ Press and she will review the work in April. The end is in sight as well as the new beginnings it will offer.

On a different note, I'm enjoying the work with the anti-racism group, helping Gladys Jackson to participate, and all the learning opportunities that go with it.

If you are going to Self Publish, I recommend the book on Successful Self Publishing by Joanna Penn. That will get you started. I had my new book (coming out this Spring) formatted by https://word-2-kindle.com. Much cheaper than others, and they get you both an eBook version and a Print version.

It doesn't feel delayed, LOL.

The Hartford International University (former Hartford Seminary) is holding a three-week course in June. See information below. It would be wonderful to audit the class (which can be done by Zoom as well as in person).
